This new knife sharperners are fasing high class customers, so he has very disctrict request on both the carbide inserts performance and the precision of size, and the meanwhile,the surface of tungsten carbide inserts are also request to be very smoothy and cleaning.
According to the request, we suggest K20 grade tungsten carbide knife sharpener inserts as the material to produce this knife sharpener inserts, reasons as below:
1. Knife sharpeners are using to sharpen knife, and as we all know, most knife are made of steel, stainlessness steel or other material.So we need a material with higher hardness than those knife-made material. K20 tungsten carbide from EJ Carbide are of hardness HRA90,is much higher than steel/stainlessness steel and other normal metal,which with hardness around HRA60.
2. Knife sharpeners are mostly using in Kitchen, where always moist and may contact some special acidity or alkalinity stuffs.So in order to keep the sharpeners a longer life time. the inserts should be waterproof, rustless and resistant to corrosion.
